Having a sexual challenge can be isolating, confusing, and really difficult to talk about.

Talking to friends can seem like we're betraying our partners, so we don't do it.

Talking to a therapist can help, but there are topics you can't explore fully without violating boundaries for both you and your therapist.

Seeing a sex therapist is certainly an option; however, many of us don't choose that route because we don't want to initiate such a formal process. Also, sometimes, we are seeking answers without the knowledge of our partners.

Sexual Healing Coaching is for women who just need a safe place to receive informed guidance. I offer free 30-minute calls for those who want to explore this option.

For 30 years,  I struggled with painful sex—and 5 other kinds of sexual dysfunction. I never told anyone. I didn't think it was important. That I was important...When I reclaimed my sexuality, I found access to power and shine I didn't think possible.

Your sexual pleasure IS important.

Your shine matters!

Here are more details about the coaching.

What does a session consist of?

Initial sessions are 60 minutes. Prior to talking, I send you a questionnaire. In that way, based on my prompts, you'll have time to think about your situation from a few perspectives prior to our call. Also, you won't spend our whole session just filling me in regarding basics.

Once we start, you talk about what's going on. I listen. Then I make suggestions based on my knowledge. Suggestions may include solo or partner exercises, books to read, modalities to explore, etc.

Follow-up sessions are optional. They are also 60 minutes.

How much does it cost?

Initial sessions are $185 for 60 minutes. (This price includes the time I spend reviewing your materials prior to our call)

Follow-up sessions are $135 for 60 minutes if purchased separately. Or $100 for 60 minutes if you purchase a 5-session package.

What are my qualifications?

I bring these qualifications to my work.

As a sex educator, I'm certified by the DC Rape Crisis Center as a Crisis Intervention Advocate. This is a person with specialized knowledge that allows her to work with sexual trauma survivors. (Please keep in mind that I am a coach, so our session will focus on sexual issues. For medical issues or more extensive trauma work, please talk to a doctor or therapist.) I'm a member of AASECT (Association of Sexuality Educations, Counselors and Therapists), a national organization that sets rigorous standards for excellence and ethics.

As a facilitator with a specialty in trauma recovery, I've spent the past 20 years developing programs for the U.S. military, individuals from conflict zones (including Israeli and pan-Arab teens from the Middle East), and sexual trauma survivors. Most of these programs have involved storytelling and drama as healing modalities.

As a coach, I've been delivering one-on-one sessions for the past 32 years, working with diverse populations in the U.S. and abroad. I've worked with women seeking empowerment, entrepreneurs, artists, corporate employees, non-profit staff, mental health professionals, physicians, college students, those who've experienced sexual violation, and others.  Since 2004, I've been certified as a yoga and meditation instructor.

As a journalist and author, I've published pieces about relationships in The New York TimesSalon, and The Huffington Post. My one-person play about sexual healing, MARRIED SEX, was presented at the New York International Fringe Festival and Off-Broadway.
